| Charlotte is located in North America's humid
subtropical climate zone. The city has mild winters and hot,
humid summers. Residents of this area have historically sought
relief from the summer time heat by vacationing in the nearby
Blue Ridge and Smoky mountain ranges. As was the case throughout
